Here’s how we help our buyers win in this competitive seller’s market.
Today we’re standing in a listing that we put on the market three weeks ago, and it’s now sold. In just three days, we had 74 showings and then received 19 offers. That means our seller got well over asking price.
The real estate market is currently incredibly competitive, so it’s an excellent time to sell. However, it’s a challenging market to navigate as a buyer. So with me today is our lead buyer specialist Lourens Erasmus to help explain how we’re helping buyers in this intense market.
Homes are being bombarded by buyers as soon as they hit the market, and spring promises to be just as competitive. One thing we try to do is get buyers into a house to view it as soon as it’s listed on the market. It gives buyers a bit of time to think about the property they just toured instead of having to immediately write an offer. You have to be first, and you have to be fast.
It’s also crucial for us to be available to buyers; we have two showing agents on our team so that buyers can see homes as soon as possible. Right now, we’re often seeing more than 10 offers for a house, so to win the deal, we use many proven techniques.
