FOCUS, a local family outreach committee, provides information and education for parents in the community through seminars, workshops, articles, and most recently, webinars.  Our mission is to promote well-being for families and healthy choices for youth in our community. In support of our mission, the FOCUS website (www.ucfsd.org/focus) compiles helpful resources recommended by professionals, including:

• Published articles and daily Q&A videos on helping parents cope with online learning and working from home (COVID-19 page)

• Webinars hosted by various school district partners on supporting mental health and managing stress during this time

• Links to informative websites and articles on grief that recognize and validate loss plus tips for moving forward

• A Senior Parents page for those who were not able to attend accepted students days for exploring colleges in online virtual tours

• Recorded previous events and related resources on a large range of topics, such as substance abuse, resiliency, positive sports parenting, social media, and mental health, can all be found on the Previous Events  and Resources pages
